Happy 12th Birthday Bella!

The youngest Sorenson girl enters into the pre-teen finale. We love Bella blue and her sassy lines and fiesty comebacks, this girl definitely knows how to hold her own in an argument under this roof. She's also a dead ringer for Bridgit Mendler and we all are constantly talking about how dopplegangery they are.
Happy Birthday baby sister! I love you!

Fall Festives

I am all about fall and all it has to offer, and when the parties start rolling around, i'm there usually embarrassing myself in some manner (not so much this year without LC though). So Saturday night kicked off the festivites. Stetson and I went to the annual Hangar party and got our freak on with half of Zona. I'm not sure of half of the things that went on, but hey, those are usually the best nights right?

Lacey & Shane

I always get super giddy when I get to shoot some of my good friends, and considering how hot Lace & Shane are, I was beyond giddy when they asked me to take their 1 year anni pictures. How it's already been one year is beyond me. Lacey and I have been friends since our Sophmore year and it's so fun to see her married to Shane now. They are the greatest and are so easy on the eyes. Thanks for letting me shoot you, you guys! Happy one year! I love you both!

Grandma Berta

Last night (Sunday) we went and visited my Great-Grandma Berta (my mom's grandma). She is staying in a home right now with her sister Star and it was the first time I had seen her in the condition she is in. I was mentally preparing myself on the way over, asking mom a bunch of questions about how she is and what she understands. We got there and walked in to her finishing her Pumpkin pie and it all about tore my heart out. I wanted to leave right then and there for fear I wasn't going to make it through the next hour seeing the person my Grandma is now. She has lost a lot of memory. She still remembers my Grandpa R (her husband) and My Cute Joanie but that's the extent. She doesn't remember us. She can't hardly talk and when she does, it's the quietest mumble or whisper. With all these obstacles in the way I put on my best poker face and just stayed in the moment of being with my grandma and soaking up all the time I do have with her. It got easier and easier as time went on and pretty soon she wasn't the woman in the wheelchair, she was my grandma. I always think to myself, "I don't know what I would do if I lost a child, or my husband, or my parents." Though death is inevitable, people still carry on. And that is exactly what Grandma has done. In 2003 she lost her husband and her daughter within 6 months of each other. She has personified what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ and a pioneer. She has more than most but is not boastful and not proud, she.is.love. She is what I dream to be when I become a wife and a mother and I am so grateful for her lineage and her example to me. She gave me my Cute Joanie, my mom, and my family and I am forever indebted to her. She may not realize who I am now, but I don't have any doubts that her heart and love still remain. I see it when she tries so hard to communicate or when I hear that faint "I love you" when I lean in to kiss her cheek and give her a hug, or when she just wants to play with Brixton the whole time (she loves babies). I am so grateful and proud to be your granddaughter Grandma and I thank you for ALL that you have done for me.

Weeee're Going to the Zoo Today.

Anyone catch that Gymboree reference? Gymbo goes to the zoo? No? Ok.
Friday, Carsten and I went to the Zoo with some of our family. (I know, because Disneyland wasn't enough right?) But the weather is fab in AZ right now, so we took advantage of it. Pai is some sort of elite zoo member so we got to feed giraffes, ride camels, and pet stingrays for free. It was so cool! I love going to the Zoo, it holds a lot of really fun childhood memories for me.
(One of my best friends is on his mission in Colombia and I saw this and had to take a picture for him. Love you Davey!)

Disneyland Fall Break!

If I had a dime for everytime someone asked me, "don't you get sick of Disneyland...Like ever?!" I would be filthy stinking rich. My answer to that question dear friends is a blunt, N-O. I love Disneyland and everytime I get to ride Splash Mountain or Indiana Jones I get more giddy than anything else. It truly is my happy place. We went from Sunday-Thursday with John & Heidi and their fam, our good friends The Chiles, Pai, & Missy & Danny. We had so much fun being with each other and making so many memories. I think that may be my most favorite about vacations, the memories that come with it. Halloween is my personal favorite holiday and to mix that with my personal favorite theme park, we've got ourselves one happy camper everyone. We ate our weight in churros and dole whips and were blissfully unaware of anything else going on in the world. Disneyland is the best everyone. Just embrace it.

Sup Fall!?

Hi fall! I love you and am welcoming you in with open arms and plenty of post-pardum summer sketches. Let's make it good!
