The Best things Come in 3's

So awhile ago, I had ordered this sweatshirt:
Along with this shirt:
From a small California-based company called Urt. (see website here
I received my sweatshirt, no problem, about a week after I had bought it, but the shirt hadn't come. So I figured, ok, it'll be here soon. I let a week go by and still, no shirt. I emailed Urt and told them my situation and they apologized over and over again saying they would send the shirt out immediately. Whew...I get my Urt shirt! So while at work today, I asked xan if I had gotten any packages today (i'm expecting a camera) and she said "no, but let me check the mail." She texted back saying, "you have a package from urt." YES! So I gave her the go-ahead to open it and send me a picture. This is what I got:
Wait...I thought I only ordered ONE shirt...Nope. As an apology, they threw in 2 NEW shirts.
Are you kidding me?! They are the CUTEST! I am so appreciative of good customer service these days. Especially after having a huge headache with Hautelook the other day. This DEFINATELY made up for it. Urt > Hautelook. Big thanks to the urt guys who made my day! I'm so thankful!

Keep it Rad.

Weekend Round 2

What's with the good weekend trend? Whoever started it, DON'T STOP! My weekends have honestly never been better! But here we go, another seemingly endless blog post on the events of my weekend. I hope your all ready for this. I know I was.
Thursday, Col and I were out to lunch at Joe's BBQ. Since colin worked till 4am the night before, he didn't have to call into work that day, so lunch was in the schedule. On our way back to my work, we called in on Hunter to see if his call had come yet. Right when we called, he was walking out to the mailbox. Colin switched it to speaker phone and we both eagerly waited for hunters answer to the ever-daunting silence...3 seconds later..."ITS HERE!!!" Colin and I heard that and booked it straight to Prescott.  Literally. We were gone. we got there around 4:45ish and got to hang out and catch up. Oh, and smooch on Cash "Hunter's husky puppy". Oh good lord. I. Want. That. Dog. I couldn't get enough of it. To say I was there for Hunt, or the dog is a toss-up. (just kidding) kinda.
Hunt had originally planned to open up at 6, but a couple of people showed up late so we all waited patiently. Finally, everyone was accounted for. With nervous fingers and uneasiness, hunt opened his call...
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY. He leaves May 16th. I'm so excited for him. I'll miss him like crazy, but i'm so proud of him. Kentucky will be so good for him and vis-a-versa.
After a sigh of relief and lots of squeezes. We all calmed down and had a good time talking and relaxing. A little while after, we all went to dinner at chipotle and had more time to catch up. Finally, it was time to bid adieu until next week for Greg's wedding. After a lot of I love you's and more squeezes, col and I left, already missing some of our favorite people.
Friday, we were due for yet another road trip, but in the opposite direction...We were embarking on what we would later come to find would be the best night of our life...We were going to see fun. We left around 1pm and stopped for lunch on the way. We go out to the car, and turns out...Colin locked the keys in the car. Awesome. So we call his mom and request the spare, and within 15 minutes, we were back on the road again. We made it there RIGHT before the line started to grow. We lucked out big time. We took our spot in line and anxiously awaited entering the theatre. Tucson has such a little charming downtown area. It was hard not to use up all my instax, but I refrained.
So we waited in line for a couple hours. (doors open at 7, call time was 8) inhaling 2nd hand smoke and listening to very upset college girls complaining about their life and how much they want to have Nate Ruess's babies...yeah ok.
There was a bunch of kids from highland there too that we were NOT interested in making conversation with, so we kept on our shades and turned on sixteen candles to avoid akwardness. It worked. (Thank you)

7 0'clock FINALLY rolled around and we were more than ready to get our party on. We eagerly stood in line fidgeting and jumping up and down. We were SO more than ready. and finally, they opened the doors.

The first thing I did, (past experience proved this is the only way) was buy my shirt. Heaven knows its hell buying those things after the concert so I got it over with. And me, being the trend setter that I am, had everyone do the same.
We ran into the theatre and were right in the front row. If there wasn't a barracade, I could've easily felt Nate's sweat all over me. Our line-waiting paid off!
 (see what I mean)
Well To sum up an overly-incredible night, Avalanche city opened for fun. I have loved them ever since watching this video and they were SO good live. Minus the obnoxious xylophone hippie player. She got real old real quick.
Then finally, fun. came on and blew our minds. I had been to one of their concerts before, but this had definately beat my previous experience. I couldn't believe I got to experience them again. I walked out of that concert wanting to never leave. They come to Mesa in May and you better believe i'll be there.

Spring has Sprung.

This past week proved to me that spring was my 2nd favorite season. Let me tell you, It didn't disappoint in the least. I took Thursday and Friday off work to enjoy the festivities with everyone else and enjoy all the amenities that came with it. Monday was Col and I's one year anniversary but we both had work and such, so we decided to celebrate ALL week. I had no complaints with that. So throughout the week we were all lovey dovey and stuff. I think Tuesday or Wednesday I let him open his present early because the boy has a surprise tolerance of zero. Really. I suprised him with his dream watch and to say I hit the nail on the head was/is the complete understatement of the century.
Thursday morning, Colin came over. Remember the surprise tolerance? That applies in both, giving and receiving. So when colin came in that morning all smiles and twitches, all I had to say was, "Go get it." Without another word he was out the door and back in 15 seconds making me sit down and open my present. I obediently did so and was so happy/shocked/surprised when I saw my dream sunglasses in my hands.
After lots of smooches and hugs were exchanged, we went out to lunch to celebrate and show off our goodies to dana park and the rest of the world (Gilbert).
After a game of indoor soccer played by my favorite + friends, we indulged in Ted's hot dogs and one free scoop of Baskin Robin's Ice cream
Finally, with saddened hearts, we had to say goodbye to this amazing Thursday and move on to our next day not knowing if it could be this good. Lucky for us, we were the brunt of good fortune because it just so happens that Friday was just as great. Friday afternoon, Colin came and picked me up to go out for our anniversary date to Paradise bakery. We gabbed and ate for an hour or so then stopped by my house to grab Chelsea's baby gift. We ran it over to the house and luckily for us (me) Chels loved it. Then we were stuck. What else do we do today? Col called Meg and before I knew it we were on our way over to her house to enjoy some of the best company. It was fun to spend the day with those two talking and laughing and helping with decorations for Greg and Courtney's upcoming wedding. Its a close tie between Colin and Meg in the favorite department. I love them both to no ends and I'm so lucky to have both of them. We had to split around 5 in order to get to the Suns game in time. This wasn't originally in the plans, but my mom called wondering if we wanted tickets and we couldn't refuse. So off we went, enjoying a great game against Detroit, and great stadium food.
So any logical thinking person would know that if you have two good days in a row, you aren't bound to have a third one, right? Wrong! Saturday was spent waking up and going to help out in the garden with my "in-town from Guatemala" grandpa. I love having him in town. It's been so fun letting Pai and Colin get acquainted and know eachother before Colin leaves. I know this was a big worry for both of us (Colin not meeting Pai), so I'm so extremely blessed that  Pai made a trip down here before Colin had to leave. We sure lucked out on that one. Then Colin came over and we went with my dad to grab some lunch at Pirate's, go on a drive, and get some thrifty Ice cream. A bunch of my favorite things all rolled into one big ball of  happiness.

We got home and just relaxed for a couple hours. Tickle fights, wrestling, ipad movies, the whole she-bang. Then we headed over to colin's house to grab some good food (elmer's) and colin and I's favorite person in the world (his cousin hunter). We went to Bahama Bucks (as tradition calls for) then went over to hang out with crippled Zach for the rest of the night. (sorry, no pictures of said events). The next day, Colin had his farewell. He did SUCH an amazing job. I was so overcome with emotion that I'm surprised I knew what was going on. But I'm glad I did because he did one heck of a great job. The spirit was so strong there. I can't even begin to imagine the impact he is going to have on the people of Mozambique. They truly are blessed to be getting a piece of Colin.

After sacrament, we went to colin's to have yummy (as always) lunch and enjoy good company. After everyone left, we sat around talking and playing with baby claire then finally popping in "The Help" for our Sunday entertainment. Around 7ish I had to bail to go say bye to Pai and spend time with the fam over at his house. Colin met us over there and between baby brixton and my uncle mark, the night was still going off without a hitch. We left with saddened goodbyes but see-ya-soons for Pai. Then back to colin's to say bye to Hunt for the week (they live in prescott.) After watching the Fugitive and a couple of naps, the weekend finally came to an unfortunate close.
I'm so grateful for this weekend and the time I have with all these people that seriously bless my life. I am so lucky. Whoever wished me a happy weekend, i'm wishing it right back to you (as ellen would say.)

Housegirls of Gilbert

Last night, Britt, Rach & I made our favourite boys their "Team Meal" for the week. Brittlyn and I planned everything meticulously and Rachel Paula Deen'd the whole time. We made the yummiest homemade pizzas via Fresh and Easy. The boys loved it and we're so glad they did. I'm so lucky to have these cuties as my best friends. Great way to kick off their game tonight. Good luck DDB! We love you!
